The local river after only three important rains is now a wide alley of fast flowing water about 7 feet deep. Just three weeks ago the river did not surpass an adult`s knees at the deepest part and the flow was slow and very narrow. One can see the results of too much water by marks in the local river banks.
It`s also easy to see why the water turns brown – it runs off the baked ground where neither grass nor crops can grow. The fertile topsoil flows freely downstream.
